25 PB’s!

Last week there was an amazing 25 PB’s set!
In last Thursdays time trial David Percy, Marc Benson, Victoria Ives, Glenn Fruish & Ioulian Iordanov all got PB’s.
On Saturday Yusuf Firat got his 15th PB of the year! This time knocking just 3 seconds off his previous best with a time of 40:19 at the Olympic Park 10K. He also finished 1st Male Vet 50.
It’s getting exciting at the top of the PB table, as Lee Brown is having a great battle with Yusuf. Lee got his 14th PB of the year at the Abington 10K on Sunday. Andy Barber helped Lee to his PB with a great sprint finish, and also got a PB for himself, with just one second separating them at the finish.
Michael Gilbert & Andrew Bell had a good race at the front of the field. Finishing 5th & 6th respectively with Michael beating Andrew by 8 seconds. Michael went under 36 minutes for the first time, finishing in 35:40. He moves up 2 places in the club records to 6th with this performance.
Cheryl Trundle needs to get a bigger trophy cabinet, as she came back with more silverware for being 1st Female Vet 60.
Marc Benson had an amazing week as he took a minute off his 10k PB after also getting a PB in the time trial. Glenn Fruish also got PB’s in both.
Simon Wallis took an incredible 3 minutes off his PB with a time of 42:55. Also getting PB’s at Abington were Melanie Mansfield, Dave Mansfield, Tony Bacon, Teresa Franklin, Brigitte Heard, Beverley Reynolds, Stacey Marshall, Carol Bliss, Elliott Bliss, Sarah Miller, Gabrielle Clarke & Nicholas Clay.
In the kids 2k race Edward Moseley ran his best ever 2K in a speedy 9:50.
