Michael Gilbert has now won back to back Kevin Henry races! At Kedington he paced his race brilliantly, to sprint past the race leader in the last 100 meters to win by 3 seconds! This gave him a time of 16:11, which is very impressive over such a hilly course. It was a very impressive performance by the mens team with Alex Smith finishing 9th in 17:16. He now has 8 PB’s this year just 1 behind the leaders of the PB league! Andrew Bell finished 18th in 17:52 after having a pre-race beer! Peter Miller was 19th also in 17:52, which moves him up to 8th in the club records! Westley Walker was 28th in 18:47 & Andy Quick was 30th in 18:57. These positions along with the fact that we had 41 men running all contributing at least point, meant the men finished in 2nd place! Mikey Dennison also ran a PB.
Our ladies team finished in 5th place with Rachel Darvill, Cheryl Trundle, Vashti MacDonald-Clink and Michelle Haynes our top 4 women. There was also an excellent turnout for the ladies with all 36 contributing at least a point. Clair Gale ran an 18 second PB, her 5th this year!
