Mary Ann Tuli added another trophy to her collection, at the Stowmarket Scenic 7 mile race. She finished in 49:11 and was first FV45. Mark White finished just ahead of Mary Ann in 49:02 in 55th place. Teresa Franklin ran 58:38 in 185th place.
At the Stebbing 10 mile race Lee Brown was first Haverhill to finish. He ran 1:10:15 and finished in 67th place. Shirley Fowler was our first Lady to finish and she continued her recent good form with another PB, running 1:22:55, and probably could have run even faster if she hadn’t worn so many layers to combat the icy cold conditions. David Mansfield got a big PB, knocking about two and a half minutes off his previous best to record 1:30:23. Trev Bunch also got a PB running for St Edmund Pacers. He ran 1:03:04 taking one and a half minutes off his previous best, and it was his first PB for 2 years.
John Nevin has qualified to compete for his age group for Great Britain over the duathlon Olympic distance. He’ll be competing in Europe next October.
Joanne Rosenwold’s time at the New York Marathon last week was her 3rd PB in 5 weeks! Having previously got PB’s for 10K and Half Marathon.
We had 2 firsts at parkrun events on Saturday. Paul James Game was first at the Clacton Seafront parkrun 19:12 and Chris Hawkins was first at the Clare parkrun 19:44. Andy Barber was 5th at Clare 21:21.
Terry Braverman ran his 313th parkrun on a muddy Cambridge course.
