Kirsty Millard was first lady in the Hereward Way Ultra. The race starts in Peterborough and follows (as far as possible) the Hereward Way for over 39 miles to Ely crossing over bridleways, fields, bridges and tracks. Kirsty ran it in an amazing time of 6:36:20 and she was 8th overall!
Running with Kirsty was Mark White who was just a second behind in 9th place. Yusuf Firat also had a good race finishing in 6:41:50 in 10th place.
We also had 2 relay teams running the course, which was split into 4 stages. Team Zeppelin finished in 91st place and Team Hendrix finished in 104th place. 110 teams finished the course. Jack Tappin did well on stage 1 running 51:25 for 6.9 miles and finished in 52nd place. Marc Benson was 57th quickest on stage 3, running 10.9 miles in 1:32:15.
In Bass Belle 10 mile race Shirley Fowler and Michelle Brazier Gardner continued their recent rich vein of form, both getting massive PB’s! Shirley got a 4 minute PB to finish in 1:18:28, and Michelle took an amazing 8 minutes off her previous best to finish in 1:35:31!
Paul James Game finished first at the Clacton Seafront parkrun, running 19:34. New member Kristina Bright from the beginners course, ran her first parkrun at Clare and did 30:51 finishing 71st out of 108 runners.
