Results roundup

Last Wednesday Tony Bacon ran 2 track races at Watford. It looks like he might be the first person to represent the club on an official track fixture. Hopefully the first of many. Tony did really well coming 2nd in his 1500m race 4:51 and 3rd in his 3000m race 10:16. These races are on every 2 weeks, if anyone else is interested in trying out a track race.
 
On Saturday in the Olympic Park 10K, Yusuf Firat was first MV50, coming 34th overall in 43:04. Paul J Sherritt also had a good run he was 15th MV50 in 54:14.
 
On Sunday Lee Brown got his 2nd PB of the year at the Manchester Marathon. He took nearly 3 minutes off his previous best to finish in 3:45:38. Marc Benson finished in 4:03:34.
 
In the Bungay Marathon Kirsty Millard was 1st in her age category she ran 4:00:20. Horace Shuriah can’t stop running Marathons at the moment, this was his 5th Marathon in just over a week! He finished in 4:40:17.
 
In the Bungay Half Jamie Randall ran 1:44:00, closely followed by Jack Tappin 1:44:20. John Nevin was 8th in his age category 1:52:21. Fran Williams ran 2:11:07. Joan Nevin was 2nd in her age category 2:25:52. Theresa Jones remarkably ran the whole race blindfolded! Yusuf Firat ran alongside carrying a bucketful of money!
 
Ian Elden got his 2nd PB of the year, running 39:52 for his first claim club Ipswich Jaffa in the Little Bromley 10K.
 
The parkrun highlights were Paul Krause finishing 4th at Clare Castle parkrun 20:11 and Tony Bacon finished 4th at the Felixstowe parkrun 17:47.
