On Bank Holiday Monday it was a very successful day for HRC at the Southend track and field Championships.
Tony Bacon was 1st Vet in the 5000m, High Jump and Long Jump. Jason Gale came away with 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze from the Triple Jump, High Jump, 110m Hurdles and 100m! Michelle Seymour got a Silver in the 400m. Michelle and Kristina Bright both got medals in the 5000m.
Haverhill parkrun again produced lots of PB’s. Louise Harris went 1min 17 secs quicker. Louise Thompson went 23 seconds quicker. Six year old Dougie Millard ran 27:23, an amazing 1min32 improvement! Alison Goodwin improved by 2 seconds to record 25:41. Kelly Ryan ran 32:28 taking 1:23 off her best. Nicola King took 18 seconds off to get 30:46. Sally Johnston improved again, taking 35 seconds off, doing it in 40:27. Suz Carter-White was 38 seconds quicker than her previous best. Peter Brunning ran a course best and was first in his age category. David Percy was 3rd in 19:32. Michelle Seymour was 2nd female 23:55.
At Clare parkrun Karina Hunt ran a PB 30:47. Dionne Dory Walford ran 35:54, a 1:08 improvement.
At Sil’s Junior 3K time trial Sorren ran a new best time of 12:54, going under 13 minutes for the first time. He moves up to 2nd in the record table.
