Simba Kazhanje is on fire at the moment. After getting a big PB last week in the Great North Run, he took a further minute off in the Great East Run! He came 35th out of 2559 finishers! His time was 1:26:08. Andy Brown ran a good debut half marathon. He set himself a target of 2hr30 and easily beat that, finishing in 2:19:16
At the Porto Half Marathon Paul Brough was our first runner to finish 1:58:34. Stephen Miller ran his best time in his current age group 2:09:39.
At the Shelford 5K Fun Run, Maria Reed was our first runner to finish 27:07. Jemma Benson ran a 30:28 PB. Five year old Ethan Frisby-Bright got a massive PB. He took 6:35 off his previous best, to finish in 37:49!
John Nevin competed in the International World Triathlon Grand Final Championships, on the Gold Coast of Australia. His run split was 24:24 which was the 20th quickest in his age group out of 61! John also took part in the Surfers Paradise parkrun and was first in his age group with 24:28. Joan Nevin also ran it and got a PB of 32:50, in her first ever parkrun!
Bryn Stuppell got a PB at the Lowestoft parkrun, he ran 29:06. He moves up to 5th in the PB league with 8PB’s! Sarah Stuppell also got a PB there, she’s just one behind Bryn with 7.
James Stubbs came 4th at Haverhill parkrun 20:32 and Michelle Seymour was 2nd lady 24:29.
Sally Johnston is rapidly moving up the table. She got another PB at Haverhill parkrun, beating her previous best by just one second! Suz Carter-White also got a PB taking 46 seconds off her previous best!
