Great race by Susie Covey in Boston USA

Susie Covey had a fantastic run at the Reebok Boston 10K for Women in the USA. She came 68th out of 2583 finishers! She ran a fantastic time of 42:10, but unfortunately the course was 300m short! Her previous best for 10K was 46:15, so it still would have been a massive PB if the course was the full distance, and she would have made it onto the club records!
 
At the Abington 10K, Andrew Bell came 4th in 36:22 and was 1st MV40! Charlie Hall came 10th in 37:52 and Craig Sisson was 11th in a new PB time of 38:03. Marc Benson did a great sprint finish to knock 2 seconds off his PB, now 44:04. Craig Ladley took 2 minutes off his PB, finishing in 47:52. Cheryl Trundle was 1st FV65 48:31.
 
The next 8 runners to finish for HRC all got PB’s!Steve Butler got a 48:51 PB. Graeme Johnston took an amazing 25 minutes off his PB!!!!!He finished in 49:59. Carl Oldford ran 50:03 taking a couple of minutes off his PB. Kevin Jamieson also ran a massive PB 50:57. Next was Kristina Bright running 51:50, taking 4 and a half minutes off her previous best! This was her 15th PB this year! She is now top outright of the PB league. Alison Goodwin & Rob Goodwin took over 2 and a half minutes and 1 and a half minutes respectively off their bests, and finished in exactly the same time 52:03! Daniel Everitt ran 53:10, taking 1:43 off his previous best!
Claire Anderson got a 58:41 PB. Stacey Anne Hall ran 58:43 taking over 2 minutes off her best. Finishing in 58:44 Lisa Harling took over 5 minutes off her previous best! Robert Wigmore got his first PB of the year with 1:00:29. Helen Louise Parnell got a 1:00:48 PB. Closely followed by Kelly Hamed 1:00:52, 3min40 off her previous best! Jemma Benson ran 1:07:19 taking 2 and a half minutes off her PB! Emma Louise Brown ran 1:08:15, taking a whopping 6:13 off her best! Sarah Stuppell took nearly 5 minutes off her best by running 1:11:57! This was her 9th PB this year and she is now joint 3rd in the PB league! Sally Johnston ran her first ever race and Denise Tarrant ran her first 10K.
Shirley Fowler ran 38 miles on Saturday and then the same again on Sunday! This was in the Saltmarsh 75, she came 29th, recording a time of 16:56:59. Michelle Brazier Gardner ran her first Ultra Marathon, running 38 miles on Sunday!
Chris Hawkins came 12th in the Wimpole HooHaah Half Marathon and was 3rd MV50 1:32:134.
Charlotte Westrope ran 2:03:19 in her first half marathon. She’ll have to wait for her medal though as they weren’t delivered in time!
Tracy Quarrell finished first lady at the Haverhill parkrun and got a 23:10 PB! She will be a great asset for the Kevin Henry’s next year! Josh Wigmore ran a fantastic 23:49 PB, and he stopped for a bit with a stitch! Daniel Pelling took 30 secs off his best finishing in 6th in 21:09.
At the Gorleston Cliffs parkrun Kirsten Bagley ran 26:24, a 53 second PB.
Freddie Millard was 3rd in his age category at the Haverhill aquathlon, and Andy Brown ran his best triathlon 10K in the Haverhill Triathlon.
Finally in the Schools cross country at the Royal Hospital School in Ipswich today, racing against half of Suffolk: Tobin came 30th in the Junior boys race, Juliet came 34th in the Junior girls race and Josh came 52nd in the Minor Boys race. The top 50 qualified for the County Championships on December 1st. So unfortunately Josh just missed out by 2 places!
