The club records keep on falling!

This week Karen Martin and Trev Bunch both ran for Suffolk at the Essex 20 event. Karen recorded a huge 25 minute PB in very difficult conditions. Her time of 2:30:33 puts her in 1st position on the club records, the record that was set only the week before!! Trev also managed an 18 minute PB and nabbed 6th place on the club records in a time of 2:21:33! Amazing results and great to have HRC runners representing Suffolk!

Fifty runners got to run through the sights of Cambridge in the half marathon this week. Lots of PBs were set and lots of half marathon debuts were run too! Tracy Quarrell managed to knock an impressive 14 minutes off her first half! Craig Sisson is chipping away at his already speedy half marathon time, going down by 3 seconds this time to a PB of 1:23:01!

A brilliant turnout at February time trial also saw lots of PBs again! Clare Everitt is on a role and managed to knock 32 seconds off the PB she set only two weeks previously!

Parkrunners were out and about again this week. Fiona Tideswell managed another first place at Wimpole this week. Luke Withers was second at Clare castle and Paul and Sarah Murkin managed a one two at Haverhill! Karina Hunt completed her 99th parkrun and her 100th will also coincide with Haverhill parkrun’s first birthday on Saturday!

At Motts field our juniors had a great session. In the 3K run Sorren Spall managed 13:26. Ted Salt ran 16:00. Charlotte Hulyer made a huge improvement in her time even whilst recovering from illness (16:40). Sophie Russell managed a PB of 16:44 on her second run. Well done everyone!
