Once again HRC time trial last week meant lots for great runs and PBs. A great number of HRC turned out and some friends from Saffron Striders to run for Cayden and donate money to The Joshua Tarrant Trust. Well done everyone. There were some lovely PBs from Stacey Ann Hall, Sara Hammett-Ridsdale, Tracy Lane, Annette Hall, Daniel Everitt, Rhiannon Marie, Dougie Millard, Danielle Pettiford, Chris Burrows, Alison Goodwin, Liam Connaughton, Mark Phillips, Ben Phillips(a junior who is almost sub18 – yikes!!!) and Becca Sims. This was also a special time trial as we saw the return to running of the wonder that is Dave Greenham! Great to see you completing time trial this week Dave!
A number of runners headed over to do the Kirton Friday 5 which saw Ross Arnold getting a decent 29 second PB, Karina Hunt getting a 2:30 min PB and Lee Taylor getting a 37 second PB. The Friday 5s are really nice events to try if you haven’t before. The next one is tomorrow and entries are closed but you can still enter the Bury or Stowmarket ones but places are filling up!
HRC runners braved the heat on Sunday in the aptly named Flaming June Half over at Histon. Karen Martin finished an impressive 5th lady! Liam Connaughton chose this as his first half and finished in 1:50. (The results for this don’t have a club search function so I’m not sure who else ran – sorry!).
As well as her 5K PB Alison Goodwin also got a new 10K PB at the Olympic Park 10K and went under 50 minutes for the first time!!
