Braverman breaks 400!!!

It has been all about the parkrun this past week! So after tracking his runs for a little while and being on a countdown I am excited to say that Terry Braverman has hit 400 parkruns!! Congratulations Terry this is a phenomenal achievement I think! Thats a total of 2000km run which in one go could get you to the far side of Iceland for some cooler weather or to Gibraltar for some African sun! Terry’s first parkrun was on 30/01/2010 at Cambridge which was also the first event for Cambridge parkrun with a field of only 71 runners compared to the 500 runners who were there this week! 300 of Terry’s parkruns have been at Cambridge so he is a long time supporter of this event. He has also volunteered on multiple occasions.

Laura Brown Hall got a new 5k PB of 35:25 and Christopher Hall got a parkrun PB of 25:18. Naomi Shelmerdine was also at Cambridge and finished 111th lady in 31:51. Alison and Rob Goodwin both ran at Wimpole with Alison beating husband Rob by one minute. Sara and Andrew Hammett-Ridsdale are now regulars at the Rother Valley event. James Minnette finished a very respectable 8th at Clare Castle and Charlie Minnette was not far behind in 18th. Stu Shepherd and Fiona Russell-Yarde were also in attendance, with having strong runs. Fifteen HRC runners ran at home this week and Nicki Davis finished 2nd overall and 1st lady. Martin Lawrence was 3rd and 2nd male.

Paul Brough was a tourist down in Ashford, near Folkstone, finishing in 24:51. Ross Arnold and Kevin Millard were both at Moors Valley parkrun in the New Forest where they finished together. Louise Thompson was in Bradford. New junior member Peter Johnston managed a new 5K PB as a tourist in Gloucester. He was 7th out of 150 and finished in 20:28 – won’t be long before its sub-20! Mum and Dad, Sally and graham were also running and finished 100th and 140th, respectively. Richard Burford was a tourist out at Salisbury parkrun finishing in 27:53 and Karina Hunt island hopped over to Jersey for her parkrun this week! Cherilyn Lane gets the furthest tourist distance award this week by a few miles. She completed Christies Beach parkrun near Adelaide, Australia!
