Hi folks!
It’s almost here – Only one week to go before the HRC Summer BBQ and we’re excited to say that around 90 people are attending – what a fantastic response!
Venue: Serenity Lakes, Board Barn Farm, Camps Road, CB9 7AU.
Timings:
• Event starts (2pm)
• Swimming (from 2pm)
• 5k fun run (3pm)
• Food served (from 4pm)
• Live music, tug of war and other activities (from 5pm)
Parking: On arrival at the farm, drive into the farmyard and turn left. Follow the path through the farmyard going past the big blue steel tank on your right and head down the track between the building and the tank to the car park. Remember it’s a working farm so please drive slowly and take extra special care.
Food: There will be a small charge (from £3) for hot food so remember to bring cash (no credit cards). Also, remember to bring your choice of accompaniments, drinks, and desserts, along with plates, cutlery, and cups (as required). If you can avoid bringing glassware, that might be best.
Raffle: There will be a raffle with several top-quality prizes. Tickets will be on sale before and during the event (details to follow). If you’d like to donate a raffle prize, please contact Clare Everitt by messenger/Facebook or email: chair@haverhllrunningclub.com
Dogs: Whilst we love our furry friends, please leave the pooches at home on this occasion.
Rubbish: Please respect the environment and your club mates by taking your rubbish home, or using the bins provided.
Volunteers: There are various jobs to do during the event, such as helping to set up and marshalling activities. If you would like to volunteer, even if it’s only for an hour, please let us know by responding to the Facebook post or email chair@haverhillrunningclub.com
And remember: all proceeds from the event are being donated to Kings College in the fight against MND.
We look forward to seeing you there and a huge thank you to Andrew Gage for allowing us to use this stunning venue.
