Hempstead Highwayman Trail Run (approx 7 miles)

Starts from 5:30pm – 7:30pm
From the Bluebell Inn, Hempstead CB10 2PD
No marshals, no route markers, no water stops, no event t-shirts, no medals …….. just you and a written route description.
£4 affiliated (£6 unaffiliated) including £2 drinks voucher.
Also, we are planning to donate any profit to the Haverhill Foodbank ……. every little helps.
Finally: We have also been asked to provide a shorter 2-3 mile option (ideal for walkers) so there will something available for everyone.

You might have thought we had a rep session tomorrow at the track – but of course its TT this week so its actually a Club run on Tuesday – meeting at the sport centre at 6pm and again at 6:30pm
If you still prefer a session then – Trev is doing a Hills session at Castle Manor at 6:30pm or Yusef and Stephen are doing a rep based session from the sports centre at 7:30pm
Take your pick – have run!
Quick update – come May Tuesday coaching will move up to Castle Manor on a Tuesday night at 18:30 and 19:30 – this is to take advantage of the track and surrounding terrain – check out the webpage for details.
Thursday night coaching – Trev Bunch is offering a structured training session similar to Tuesdays nights – all are welcome – starts at 18:30 from the Sports Centre.
Club runs will continue from the Sports Centre through the summer as normal – watch out for an special runs (trial runs, guest runs that are advertised) but also check when the Kevin Henry dates are – they are not like last year!!!! as these effect when the time trial might be and the Tuesday training session – again check out the website for details

Suffolk Sport are hosting an Emergency First Aid course on Weds 26th April, 18.30-21.30 at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre in Stowmarket. Please could you pass on the following information to the relevant people in your club, and encourage them to book online asap as places are limited.
Emergency First Aid (26th April 2017)
A required course to become a Suffolk Sport topcoach but is open to all. This workshop is a basic first aid course. It will provide you with knowledge of how to assess an incident, and what to do next, the latest resuscitation techniques and how to deal with sprains and strains.
You must be 16 or over to attend this workshop. If you are under 18 please let us know before attending the course.
