Around 50 HRC members came along to run the second race of the 5K Summer Series in Histon. This is a notoriously fast and flat course and, despite the warm weather, there were some great performances. Sarah Davies, Karen Farthing and Hayley Wilson took the top three spots for the ladies and Andrew Mynott, Chaz Barrett and Nathan Sims took the top three spots for the men. That said, there were some great times from everyone who ran – well done HRC! Results to follow shortly.
The next event will be hosted by Newmarket Joggers at the Rowley Hill Racecourse in Newmarket on 4th June. This is a fairly flat course but don’t let that fool you – the varied terrain across grass, sand and concrete can make it more challenging that expected. Let us know if you’ll be attending by going to ‘Team Events’ on the App and clicking ‘I’m in’ for the event.
Then of course we’ll be hosting our own event in Kedington on 25th June. As always, this promises to be a real hum dinger of an evening, not only because of the great course and the joy of ascending Cock Hill, but also because of HRC’s fabulous hospitality. We look forward to seeing you all there!
