A 3K time trial has been introduced for the JJs, our youngest HRC members under the age of 12. It is intended for JJs to test their running ability over a 3K distance and to see how they are improving month to month.
The 3K time trial is usually held on the last Thursday of each month, except when advised otherwise. During the winter months it is held at Samuel Ward Academy, as part of the JJs’ training session. During the summer months it is normally held alongside the 5K time trial (see route HERE), starting from Haverhill Leisure Centre around 7pm, with a short briefing at 6.45pm. The time trial is fully marshalled.
Please note that, depending on what other events are taking place, especially over the summer, there may be no time trial held in some months. In addition, time trials may be cancelled at short notice if there are adverse weather conditions.
Reminders and other information about 3K time trials will be communicated by the Junior Coaching Team and via the Club App and HRC website.
Our ability to run the time trials is entirely dependent on volunteers who can help marshal the course. Therefore, please keep a look out for posts prior to each event and consider volunteering if you can.
