JOSHUA TARRANT TRUST
Joshua Tarrant Trust is a Haverhill based charity, supporting children with brain tumours and their families.
The charity was founded in January 2017 by Joshua’s parents, Sean and Denise Tarrant. Joshua was diagnosed with a brain tumour in July 2004 when he was just 8 years old. He battled bravely for a further 8 years, but sadly lost his fight aged 16 years and 8 months in April 2012. Sean and Denise with the support of family and friends initially spent 4 years fundraising through an annual golf day. Following on from this success they set up Joshua Tarrant Trust.
Joshua Tarrant Trust are honoured to have become the fourth charity partnership for Brainbow which is based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and have already signed contracts with the NHS. We will be funding a Specialist Teacher, a Service Delivery Manager and an Administration Assistant. Providing rehabilitation for children with brain tumours is very close to our heart, as this service wasn’t available to Joshua when he needed it the most. While Joshua was receiving treatment, we had a very some glimpse of how valuable it could be to so many other children.
Joshua Tarrant Trust is run by a group of hard working group of trustees. None of us are paid so EVERY PENNY raised goes towards helping children with brain tumours.
