The next HRC Time Trial will take place next Thursday, 27th March 2025.
This month’s Time Trial is extra special. Not only will our latest group of Beginners be graduating, we also have for the very first time a new 3K Time Trial for our youngest members, our JJs.
The 5K Time Trial will start promptly at 7pm, outside the Leisure Centre. The 3K Time Trial will start immediately after that. There will be a mandatory briefing for ALL runners outside the Leisure Centre at 6.50pm.
As this is the first time that we will have a 3K Time Trial, there are some rules that all runners will need to follow, which we will cover during the briefing.
As a health and safety precaution ALL runners MUST wear HI VIZ – you will not be allowed to run if you are not wearing HI VIZ! If you don’t have any HI VIZ then we may be able to lend you something on the night, but pleased do try to provide your own.
As always, we need volunteers to marshal the route, so please let us know if you would be able to help with one of the following roles by responding to this post:
- Cineworld car park (x 2 persons needed)
- Bowls club
- Manor Road
- Slop of slope
- Tesco bridge
- End of track onto Howe Road
- Howe Road onto Arrendene Road
- Arrendene Road back onto track
- Timekeeper
- Tokens
- Names
- Last runner (to run with slowest runner)
The Junior Coaching Team is organising for some additional marshals to be stationed on the 3K part of the route, but do let us know if you can help with that, even if other roles (above) are filled. It’s always good to have someone in reserve. Thank you as always for your support.
There will be a mandatory briefing for everyone in marshal positions up to Tesco Bridge, at 6.40pm, outside the Leisure Centre.
There will be a social for members at the Gym and Juice Club after the Time Trial – see later post about this.
Thank you as always for your support!
