And as if like magic, Chaz Barrett and Trevor Hastings, followed by several other HRC runners emerged from the rainbow, obviously looking for that elusive crock of gold, or perhaps on this particular evening, the finish line! This is certainly one phenomenon you don’t see at every 5K Summer Series event but whilst it was quite splendid, it didn’t make the course any easier! Well done to everyone who turned up to battle the rain, the wind and of course the sand at Newmarket yesterday evening. Lots of great running as always. Results to following soon!
We can now look forward to the next 5K Summer Series event, which of course will be hosted by HRC and held in the The Great Meadow in Kedington on Thursday 25th June. Thank you so much to everyone who has come forward to help but we just a few more volunteers to ensure its success. If you can spare a few hours of your time (or your spouse/partner/adult child/grandparent/auntie twice removed that lives up the road) then please let Hayley Wilson know.
