HRC joined forces with ALTRA to give members (and guests) the opportunity to try on and try out the latest ALTRA running shoes at the September 5K Time Trial.
Thanks to Jimi from ALTRA for coming along to show us what’s on offer and especially for donating prizes for participants and volunteers to win through a randomised draw. First prize, a new pair of ALTRA running shoes went to Sophie Goodhew. Runner up prizes, an ALTRA t-shirt and socks went to Max Bell and Diena Bolton.
The results from both the 5K and 3K Time Trials are now available to view on the HRC website. 5K results can be found HERE and 3K results can be found HERE. Well done to all the runners and a huge thank you to all the volunteers, without whom the Time Trial would not be possible.
Next month’s 5K Time Trial, to be held on 29th October, will be a little different. We’ll be using the event timing function within the App, which works in a similar way to parkrun, by scanning bar codes and your unique QR code within the App. This will make things more efficient by simplifying and speeding up the process of recording and issuing results and significantly reducing the administrative burden on organisers. Further details and instructions will be sent out nearer the time.
