Only 24 hours to go to the BBQ and the weather is looking great!
Date and time: Sunday 20th August 2023, from 3pm onwards.
Place: Serenity Lakes, Board Barn Farm, Camps Road, Helions Bumpstead, CB9 7AU. Look for the HRC flag at the entrance.
Parking: Upon arrival follow the yellow arrows through the farm, then the parking sign towards the blue portaloo. Park near the portaloo then use the gate to access the enclosed lake area.
Dogs: We all love our pooches but on this occasion, please leave them at home to watch the telly.
5K Fun Run: The 5K Fun Run starts at 4pm and will be clearly signposted / marshalled. It’s mainly on trail across fields and grass, so please tread carefully, keeping an eye open for any rabbit holes or uneven ground. We’ve done our best to mark any larger holes, but you can never be too sure.
Food and drink: Food will be served from about 5pm. There will be a small charge of £3 for burgers and sausages (cash only), so please remember to bring loose change if you can. Please also remember to bring your own drinks and accompaniments (salads etc).
Seating: There are a few picnic tables but if possible, please bring your own seating or blankets.
Swimming: You can swim in the lake at any time during the afternoon, so don’t forget your cossie. We would also recommend that you bring some flip flops to get you to and from the lake.
