parkrun to be included in Club Results

For the new club year, you may have noticed your results from certain local parkruns will be eligible for the Club Championships.

This ties in nicely with an ambition to include members’ weekly parkrun results (from ANY parkrun) on the main Club Results page.

Of course it’s entirely optional – but if you do want your parkrun results to show on the club website, and for the eligible ones to be included in the Club Championships, you’ll need to be sure you are showing as a registered Haverhill RC runner with parkrun (otherwise I’ll never find them!).

If, specifically, “Haverhill RC” shows against your name in the (detailed view) results of a parkrun you’ve done recently, then you don’t need to do anything.

If it doesn’t, you’ll need to set us up as your main group.

To do so – first, log in to your parkrun profile. You can access this most easily by clicking on the “Manage my profile” link in the results email they send you after a run.

Next, scroll down till you find the “Groups” link – after you click this, it gives you the option to search for a group, but first scroll down to check your group memberships, as you may already have us showing as one of your groups.

If not, you need to search for, and add, specifically “Haverhill RC”. Take care, as HRC is also a registered group with parkrun, but nothing to do with us!

Finally, if you have more than one group registered with parkrun, make sure you click “Make Primary” next to Haverhill RC.

Any questions, get in touch – you can message me at ianelden@hotmail.co.uk, or send me a Facebook message if that’s easier.
