Here are a few Club events that will be occurring over the summer, which we thought you might be interested in:
On Tuesday 8th July we will be holding a Sports Day style session instead of regular training. There will be some agility bits, races and fun things to do!! Some of the coaches are busy planning lots of fun and games for you!! This session is open to ALL members including juniors and JJs. The session will be held at Castle Manor at the usual time of 6:30pm.
On Tuesday 22nd July we have a guest coach coming to visit! Paul Evans is a previous Olympic athlete who placed 3rd in the 1996 London Marathon and won the Chicago Marathon that same year. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will make for a great session. This session is open to seniors and juniors (12+). The session will be held at Castle Manor at the usual time of 6:30pm
Friday 11th July sees the next HRC social meal and drinks! We will head to Prezzo for food and then some pubs in town. Always great to catch up with friends wearing normal clothes!! From about 2pm on Sunday 3rd August we are holding our Summer BBQ at Serenity Lakes. As always, this promises to be a really enjoyable afternoon, complete with a 5k Fun Run, some delicious BBQ food and of course, great company. Please let us know whether you will be coming, as well as any specific dietary requirements using the form HERE.
And finally!
On Sunday 17th August Kelly Mepham will be leading a runner specific strength and conditioning session for us. Times and location are to be confirmed but it will be late morning and in Haverhill, and hopefully outdoors depending on the weather. You don’t need any equipment, just motivation! Kelly has previously coached for HRC and is a very experienced runner herself. She is a brilliant personal trainer and has a specialism in women’s running.
