Next Thursday (10th July) the Club social run will start and finish at the Dog and Duck in Linton. This is in place of the usual Club run from the Leisure Centre.
We’ll check in outside the pub and start our run at 6.30pm. However, if you’re running late or just want to start a bit later don’t worry, you can check in and set off on your own or as part of a separate group a little later. However, please make sure you print and bring with you the route instructions, take a mobile phone, and aim to be back at the pub no later than 8pm to avoid us sending out a search party!
There are two routes to chose from, a long route of 7 miles and a short route of 4 miles.
Both routes are mixed terrain but mainly along tracks and footpaths around and across fields, some of which may be a little uneven and bit overgrown in places, so watch your step. The weather is also likely to be very warm, so please take what ever precautions you need to make your run as comfortable as possible, such as sun screen, antihistamines, long socks etc. Oh, and don’t forget to bring some water to rehydrate along the route.
There will obviously be the usual Club social after the run so please do stay and have a drink. If you’re planning to eat at the pub, you might want to let them know in advance.
